HUMAN IMPACT

Our contemporary lifestyles also wreak havoc on the natural environment. Urban environments needlessly contribute huge amounts of pollution such as microplastics, hydrocarbons and heavy metals to our soils, air, streams, rivers and seas.  Their impermeable surfaces also contribute to flooding and river erosion impacting both people and wildlife.

Our mission is to respond to these very real needs in creative ways to create beautiful and successful landscapes and developments that work harder for a sustainable future.

We are developing a range of SuDS masterclasses training days drawing on our collective 50 years experience of dedicated SuDS design.  Our masterclasses are small group, in-person, one-day events with a balance of engaging learning, group discussion and practical exercises.

INTEGRATED SuDS DESIGN MASTERCLASS

This in-person masterclass dives right into how to adopt design approaches that will enable you to unlock the potential of integrated SuDS design on any project, no matter how challenging. These approaches consistently lead to better landscapes and developments that deliver more benefits for people, wildlife and the wider environment, more layers of meaning and more design fulfilment, as well as being more functionally effective, robust, cost-effective and easy to maintain.

URBAN RAINGARDEN DESIGN MASTERCLASS

This in-person masterclass explores the principles of bioretention raingarden design – raingardens designed to manage polluted runoff from urban hard surfaces. Through an interactive training experience we’ll highlight the core requirements and the potential to deliver valuable co-benefits through urban raingarden design.
