CAMLEY STREET RAINGARDENS

Currently enjoying a flash of summer and early autumn colour from the temporary meadow seeding, this November these linear raingardens will be planted with a beautiful mix of flowering herbaceous plants, ornamental grasses and trees.

What was once a very ordinary and uninviting street has been transformed into an attractive linear route, with more biodiversity and beauty as well as a visual and pollution buffer between pedestrians and the highway.

Managing up to the 1 in 30 rainfall event, the raingardens intercept polluted road runoff and clean it before allowing it to infiltrate into the ground.
